Merry Christmas
Wishing a very Merry Christmas to all my friends, readers, and fans this Holiday season! Thanks for making 2015 such an amazing year.
I love this quote from an inspired man:
The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of love and of generosity and of goodness. It illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than in things. — Thomas S. Monson
Things are fleeting. Things get broken. Or lost. Or become outdated and in need of replacement by the next great “thing.”

But people, and the relationships we have, are what truly matter. It’s a place where time invested will always bring a return, where differences really can be made, and where memories that matter are created.
I love Christmas because it’s about belief. Whether you believe in Santa or elves or believe in the birth of a Savior or just in the spirit of giving that comes with the season, it forces you to stretch your imagination, to put off the normal humdrum of life and focus on magic and miracles. And we could all use a little more magic and miracles in our lives.
So feed your belief. Water your hopes. Cultivate those relationships around you and let your imaginations flourish. In doing so, you’ll agree, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
(And for you unbelieving types out there — yes, I’m looking at you — here’s a little preview of the Santa I’m sending your way. Though he spells his sleigh a little differently than the one you’re used to…)
